Infuy partnered with The Good Drugs Guide in a massive effort to redesign the entire site’s look and feel. This involved changing the underlying framework and adding more features and functionality to create a better user experience. The comprehensive website needed a much-improved front-end makeover and supporting back-end to effectively take itself to the next level as the leading online authority for drugs, addiction, and treatment.

The website hosts over 200 medical forums with user-based health information that is interactive. The site is a professionally moderated social network where every post is reviewed by administrative staff.

Infuy provided ongoing website optimization for eHealth Forum to enhance user experience. Optimization of the website typically included managing server configuration as well as resolving database and caching issues to ensure optimal performance.

Acufinder.com is a leading online resource for everything to do with acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and East Asian medicine. The website provides listings for acupuncturists and acupuncture schools. There is also a learning center with 50+ topics related to acupuncture along with a calendar of events.

About the project

Acufinder.com needed to have the code on the back-end of its website updated because it was using outdated Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP). The challenge was to make sense of the layers of hard-coded data and bring it up to date using the latest programming languages and technology available so Acufinder.com could better serve its customers and community.

This project was a total software update of vBulletin’s proprietary forum. It required building a new software platform entirely from scratch as well as updating the code from structural to object-oriented programming. His new version of vBulletin also enhanced the product's visual design and usability to improve upon performance and user experience. There were many challenges on this project including a short time frame to complete critical tasks, limited resources, and significant reverse engineering requirements.
