About the project
Infuy partnered with The Good Drugs Guide in a massive effort to redesign the entire site’s look and feel. This involved changing the underlying framework and adding more features and functionality to create a better user experience. The comprehensive website needed a much-improved front-end makeover and supporting back-end to effectively take itself to the next level as the leading online authority for drugs, addiction, and treatment.
How we worked with the client
For this client, we took an agile approach using a Scrum development framework. This required daily Scrum meetings, planning meetings for one-week or two-week sprints, plus other critical meetings with the client’s marketing unit on an array of important topics that would affect the design and development of the improved website structure along with its look and feel.
To achieve the restructuring goals for The Good Drugs Guide website we participated in a brand redesign of the entire site where we worked to significantly improve the entire look and feel of the site along with optimizing content for the search engines using search engine optimization (SEO) principles. During this engagement, we used Yii 2.0―an open source, object-oriented, component-based MVC PHP web application framework―to replace the obsolete custom frameworks the client had been previously using. We also managed all SEO improvements for Google as well as adding more alternate data stream (ADS) with appropriate targeting.
